Job Summary

To drive profitable sales growth through seizing opportunities in the market whilst ensuring customers and stakeholders needs (products and service) are met or exceeded. It also entails increasing the share with existing customers, engaging new customers, innovation, expanding market and extending light weight and sustainable construction solutions nationally.

Key Duties

o Support EHS culture
o Participate in sustainability initiatives
o Spearheading customer education on health, safety and environmental issues
relating to their/ driver visits to the plant – behavior & PPE issues
o SMAT audit and TF4 reporting
Route to market and distribution management
o Increase share with existing customers in order to achieve revenue growth
o Grow outlets nationally through various channels to improve product proximity
to end users
o Identify and implement initiatives to grow the market to achieve sustainable
impact
o Develop and manage new customers that buy directly from SGCP RSA for
solidarity
o Develop specialist distributors for Saint-Gobain products to take advantage of
market growth
Customer service management
o Ensure optimal pricing to maximize profitability
o Drive customer relationship management activities such as technical support,
regular visits, and feedback tracking through satisfaction surveys to improve
and sustain customer service

o Handle customer complaints/ claims timeously,maturely and professionally to
satisfy customers
o Develop deep understanding of customer needs to achieve lasting partnership
and leading share of customer
o Always demonstrate customer centricity through various approaches and
agility
Product management
o Sales drive on all products to meet set objectives for both locally produced and
traded goods
o Monitor customer feedback and competitor product performance tracking for
insights to manage product quality
o Innovation and new product development management to meet customer
needs
o Conducting product demonstrations to educate consumers on product
applications
o Training and education of various stakeholders to increase product knowledge
People Management
o Recruit, train and develop sales talent for succession
o Set SMART objectives for the team and monitor performance
o Motivate team to achieve optimal output
o Lead according to the culture and values of Saint-Gobain

Finance & Business Control
o Prepare budgets, plans and forecasts for Production and Finance
o Monitor sales variances (Price, Mix & Volume) to ensure timeously resolution
of anomalies
o Perform Margin Analysis and take corrective action where necessary

o Manage department costs within budgets or set targets
o Respect Business control environment in executing the job

Education + Experience

• Sales/Marketing Degree
• Post Graduate Qualification – added advantage
• Computer literate (MS Office, ERP system)
• Understanding of the Marketing dynamics and macro environment

• 5-10 years Sales management experience
• Leadership skills
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
• Negotiation skills
• Planning and organisational skills
• Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision
